Understanding ADHD a little more

 Hey it's me again, sometimes ADHD is hard for the child with it and the parents, for instance my son doesn't always know or realize when his joking has gone to far or it's not the right time, place, or person to joke with. So when that happens instead of giving a consequence we talk about why he shouldn't do that, and when it's appropriate to joke and what is acceptable joking. Doing it this way makes him see why somethings are okay to joke about and others are not okay to talk about. This chart explains the brain age of someone with ADHD.     Now my son does function as a 13 almost 14 year old with most things but there are things that he just can't comprehend because of his brain age. His brain is constantly going, it goes so fast that he can multi-task sometimes better than me. For instance he can watch tv, play a game on his computer, listen to music while also doing homework and he can tell you about all of it, he amazes me everyday. Thanks for reading I f...
